Introducing the faithHighway Ezine

Sat, Jan 13, 2007

General

faithHighway is launching a monthly e-zine complete with technical tips, staff biographies and featured sites to see best practices from a variety of churches nationwide. Since this first occurs at the start of a new year, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on 2006. First, on behalf of the faithHighway team, I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve your website and design needs. This was a fantastic year, one filled with challenge and opportunity in an atmosphere of rapid growth and change.

The year began with a series of addresses to the faithHighway team on “Creating and Sustaining Momentum in Life,” and a year of momentum it has been! As well as the substantial increase in numbers of clients and fH staff, a few of the other outstanding accomplishments were:

- faithHighway, was the exclusive sponsor of several Internet Cafe© and a partner at large-scale conventions at Vision New England’s Congress, Catalyst by INJOY, National Outreach Convention by Outreach, Billion Souls Pastors Conference by GPN, and several conventions by various denominations
- Release of a New Editor with improved functionality and enhancing the overall user-experience with a cleaner interface and an array of features
- Implementation of a new Email System with increased speed, improved graphic user interface, and stability (100% up time to date!), as well as an email server improvements to filter out over 95% of spam and other unwanted email
- Procurement of over 20 new top of the line servers for the next generation of software development, which means more features, better functionality, increased stability and security, and new web applications for you to help further your mission and vision
- Improving internal work order system in the production and service departments to better meet the needs of customers. In doing so, turnaround time for graphics and most service inquiries has been reduced to 24 to 48 hours from previous five days or more
- Moved to a much larger facility to accommodate the growth by hiring more team members to better serve clients and expand production and development teams, as well as positioning for increased growth in the days ahead

Being challenged with the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:29 regarding stewardship and abundance in light of God’s grace, the call to be a good steward as our act of faithfulness to do better serving you is a driving force in the hearts and minds of the faithHighway Team. With the unveiling of 2007, some exciting developments to come shortly:

- Releasing of www.SermonConnect.com as one of the largest repositories of online Christian media nationwide, providing you a very robust tool to manage your media effectively but also a customizable interface to present your media professionally
- Releasing of an interactive Knowledge Base to provide instant, accessible answers to questions regarding how to use your website
- Releasing of a series of online Video Tutorials to complement the already online documentation for ease of access and use
- A new Media Campaign from our Tulsa office to combine broadcast, print, and online media to help churches nationwide better communicate their message and attract more first time visitors to their church
- Improved communication channels from the service and production teams to you as a client, to better expedite requests, respond to inquiries, and fulfill our promises to you with increased quality and excellence

And so much more! Once again, thank you for allowing us to serve your website and design needs. For service or production questions, please fill out the form online at www.faithHighway.com/service and for general feedback, please email us at feedback@faithhighway.com.

Blessings

During my last year of school, I started with faithHighway and have been COO since February 2005. Although I enjoy leading faithHighway, my greatest joy is spending time with my wife and three boys (who are 5 an under!).
