Are you a new SermonConnect user, and unsure how to integrate your media into your existing faithHighway website? Our engineers have worked long and hard to make inserting a video from SermonConnect to your website as easy as possible! Here is how:
1. Obviously, begin by uploading a new video to your SermonConnect account. The step-by-step upload process should be straight-forward, so those steps will not be covered here.
2. After the video is uploaded to SermonConnect, click on “Video”, under Media Management. This will display a list of all the video items already uploaded.
3. Now, find the video just uploaded and click on “Copy Link URL” within its options. This will open a new window displaying two different fields: One with a direct link, and one with the full HTML embed code. Leave this window open, because it will be used in a few moments
4. Open a new browser window, log into your faithHighway website, and open a page for editing.
5. Once inside the Editor for that page, place your cursor where you would like to insert the video, and click on the “Insert/Edit Flash” button. This will open a Flash Properties window.
6. Go back to the SermonConnect window displaying the two fields with a link and some HTML embed code. Highlight and copy the URL (the web address) in the first field.
7. Now, go back to the Flash Properties window still open in the edit window. Click inside the URL field and paste in the URL that was copied from the SermonConnect window. Set the size to the correct dimensions (320×240 is a good starting point), and click OK.
8. Lastly, save your content by clicking “Save” in the Editor, and refresh the browser to see the embedded video!
Now that you know how to embed your new SermonConnect videos to your faithHighway site, spread the word! The addition of videos to your site will be sure to increase its appeal to both site visitors, and frequent users alike!
