Client Interviews

So, let me introduce myself. I’m Kristen: Self-proclaimed as intense, passionate and all-around spaz. I’m married to Joshua, who I like to call “My Giant”. He’s 6′8″. Enough said about his nickname, right? He’s a graphic artist and my best friend. We’re the couple that you pass in the toy section at WalMart playing catch or riding children’s bikes. And we’re expecting our first child in June. Did I mention we’re excited?

I have been with faithHighway since February this year. I started out as a Sales Consultant, but have since transitioned to a Marketing Assistant/Project Manager role. Right now, I’m focusing my time on a video promotion for our media center, Sermon Connect. This piece will appear on www.sermonconnect.com and be used as an informative CD for future clients. One part of this promo will be interviews with a few of our clients. A team of fH employees are traveling around the U.S. to gather video footage.

Now, if you know anything about pregnant women, and have calculated how far along I am, I imagine you are beginning to feel sorry for either me or the four guys I have been traveling with. I’m not saying I am a grump or anything. Merely mentioning that when you have multiple 14 hour days of travel and you’re carrying a grapefruit inside that acts as an energy vacuum, you don’t come across as “Miss Congeniality”.

I am far too impatient to sit through an entire flight without pestering those around me. If any of you are frequent travelers, hats off to you. The normal thing to do is read a book or listen to music. Despite having a decent sized library at home, I’m too impatient to finish any single book. So, if you were to reference a great novel you have recently read, I would understand approximately half of what you were saying. Plus, you can only sit and make fun of the SkyMall magazine for so long. As for music, I am the only 22 year old I know without an iPod, so that’s out the window too. I usually just attempt to nap without the dreaded, embarrassing jaw of death. You know what I’m talking about, right? When people sleep sitting upright, the mouth slowly opens to a gaping hole, and drool usually follows. If I can’t sleep for some reason, I just entertain myself by trying to spot someone else with the jaw of death.

Despite all my travel woes, these trips have been amazing. Meeting pastors face-to-face and hearing what God is doing through them is quite enough to keep me energized and excited. I’m proud to work for a company that plays such a vital role in evangelism and outreach. Every pastor we’ve interviewed has shared a different way that online media has touched a new audience. From people getting saved in prison, to people tuning in world-wide, it is apparent that we’ve only seen the beginning of God’s glory through Sermon Connect. I can’t wait to hear your story!

Tune in next time for Video Production 101. From scrims to gels, shock mounts to dead cats, I can enlighten those of you who are as ignorant as I am in audio, video and lighting for video productions.
