A great way to enhance your web presence is to use video in your content areas. By engaging people with video, you give them a reason to stay and explore the rest of your site. Often times, people will view a short clip on your website, because they are seeking to gauge the personality of your church. A great video has the power to inform, excite, and inspire visitors by providing them with a unique glimpse into your church family.

People are much more likely to connect with your church on a personal level through watching a video. It helps to not only convey your message, but it delivers that message along with a sense of authenticity that cannot be accomplished merely through the use of text and static images.

Here are a few examples of ways that you can use videos in your content area:

  • welcome people to your homepage
  • provide an introduction to each of your ministries
  • promote upcoming sermon series or special events
  • guide visitors to certain sections of the website that you want to spotlight

If you already have SermonConnect, it is fairly simple to implement any of the videos that you already have right onto your faithHighway website. Using SermonConnect’s easy-to-use media management system, you can access the HTML code for the video and paste that into your site’s source code area.

Utilizing videos in a variety of ways can greatly improve any website by creating a more engaging and effective web presence.
