First Impressions is facilitated through Guest Reflections. People are asked to pick a website from a church in their area at random and review it. These sites may or may not be powered by faithHighway.

In regards to finding information on the location of the church, our visitor made the following comments: “There was a Directions Page, but I had not seen this on my first look of the site, although I had specifically looked for it. They have so many drop down links, it gets a little confusing after a while. They offered turn-by-turn directions from certain points of the area, but no link to Mapquest or similar site. Since I am not really familiar with the area they give directions from, I would have to use Mapquest to find the church if I were to visit.”

The visitor found that the pages did not always load quickly, and he encountered error messages, broken links and placeholder pages.

For the most part, the visitor found the information to be current and free of typos or other errors, but he felt that the site did not communicate clearly to all kinds of people (regardless of background/experience).

What is your overall first impression of this site?
The web site was different. The Home page was not traditional, and that caught me off guard. I thought the Home page looked like a post card stuck up at the upper left corner and then had some links to other web sites. It did not seem like something a professional had done.
What would make this site better?
Improving the home page would make the site better. I think a more professional or even friendlier home page would improve the site. It seems somewhat thrown together.
Would you visit this church based on the site?
Probably not.
