As faithHighway develops more and more products and services, the need to inform both current and future clients of these changes has grown. With this growth, faithHighway recently expanded its marketing department to include one full-time person completely devoted to getting the word out about faithHighway. Kristen Parkhurst is now the faithHighway marketing assistant. Although Kristen has worked for faithHighway for one year, she has been in this marketing role since mid-November.
As a marketing assistant, Kristen has a variety of duties including the coordination of conference logistics, marketing campaigns through both creation and development, and various other projects. She also oversees the artwork creation and revision for both marketing and advertising campaigns. She works with ad vendors to ensure faithHighway meets all submission deadlines, and she writes the copy for the various print and web collateral.
Kristen is also very busy outside of work. She has been married one year to her 6’8†husband, Joshua. You can read more about him on the faithHighway blog. And although when they first met, they couldn’t stand one another, they eventually fell in love, got married, and are now buying their first home together. They are 6 months along in the wait for their first child, Caleb Noah, who is due in early June.
Besides being a newly wed, an expecting mother, and soon-to-be home owner, Kristen also enjoys watching movies, playing guitar, and teaching “Sarge†their mastiff/lab mix new tricks. Despite the many things going on in her life, Kristen tries to live according to principal found in Isaiah 6:1-8. She strives to always seek the voice of God and be prepared to be a faithful servant who is available when God calls her. She seeks to constantly remind herself how big God really is and thus the importance of obeying His commands. By seeing this busy woman balance work, family, and fun while putting God at the forefront of her priorities, hopefully each of us will also make it a priority to be ready to say, “Here am I. Send me!†(Isaiah 6:8) any time He asks.
