We had over 70 great church websites go live during the month of March, so to narrow that number down to a list of favorites was very tough, but here are four that I really enjoyed browsing through, in no particular order.
Up first is a client that has been with faithHighway since 2005, Arundel Christian Church of Severn, Maryland (www.arundelcc.org). Arundel has a custom home page and custom inside page design, as well as several flash pieces. They purchased a Flash User Folder so they can switch the photos in and out as they wish in the various flash pieces (notice the center area). Also, this allows them to advertise their Sermon Series in the main graphic area. This client has also done an amazing job with the content on their inside pages, by using Stock images and thorough content. Overall, this is a visually pleasing and informative site.
Next is a client that is new to faithHighway, First Colony Bible Chapel of Sugar Land, Texas (www.firstcolonybible.org). First Colony has a themed home page, using the Kings theme and a children’s sub site with its own graphics using the Acts theme. By looking at their home page alone, you can tell that the church is very family-friendly. This client has also done a great job on entering content. This is a very informative site and shows a lot about First Colony Bible Chapel.
Third is a client that is also new to faithHighway, Real Life Church of Springfield, Illinois (www.2reallifechurch.com). This is a client that has a custom home page and custom inside page design with a flash piece on the home page. This church website design does a great job of incorporating stock image photos and their own images. This client also purchased one of my favorite tools that we offer, the Flash Photo Gallery. It is a great tool to feature photos of your own congregation in a cool, interactive way. This client has also done a great job of working with their content, whether uploading images with text on it or playing with the colors used in the overall design- both things help contribute to make it a very pleasing site to visit. This client also purchased the Colorization pack with their Sermon Connect account and we made it reflect the rest of the graphics used on their site. Overall, a great looking site!
To wrap up the list is another new client, Valley Church of West Des Moines, Iowa (www.valleychurch.info). This client has several sub-sites with their own graphics, but the main site is set up as an Acts Theme with a hybrid button at the bottom, rather than just three buttons. This church has put together great images for the main flash area and is taking advantage of this location to advertise events and happenings in the church. Valley Church also has User Folder so they can update their buttons in the bottom to advertise their Sermon Series and Events. Valley Church has also done an amazing job on their content using graphics. Their sub-sites are Children, Outreach and Care and Counseling. This client has taken advantage of many tools such as Flash User Folder, Flash Photo Gallery, E-invite, Donatelinq and many more.
A trend that I notice with my favorite sites of March, is that they all have great content on the inside pages. The graphics all look great, but the content is what makes it. So, let this encourage you to keep your content on your website updated and fresh to help with reaching in, reaching out and reaching up!
