“I was able to find the affiliation in the mission statement on the front page. I was also able to find the church leaders and pastor through a labeled link on the home page. The church’s contact information is spelled out vs. being written and I had to read it twice to know it was an email address.”

The visitor found that all the pages loaded quickly, and she said, “There are no broken links.”

Overall, the visitor liked the content found on the site. She thought it was current, updated, and free of mistakes. Mostly, she found the information easily and thought it was complete and thorough.

“The site seems neutral to me, as it uses a white background with black print in most places. There is some brown type that was intermingled with the black print on the front page that drew attention to the mission statement. Perhaps revamp the home page according to the demographics you are trying to reach. This page appealed more to my mother than others my age that are used to more vibrant and use more graphics in the sites.”

What is your overall first impression of this site?

There is no address or phone number listed on the main page, and the different colors and fonts that were used were not conducive to my wanting to peruse the site, but were distracting of the message being conveyed. The bright lime green of “Mass On The Grass” hurts my eyes.

What would make this site better?

Perhaps revamp the home page according to the demographics you are trying to reach. This page appealed more to my mother than others my age that are used to more vibrant and use more graphics in the sites.

Would you visit this church based on the site?

Maybe, maybe not.
