A strong internet presence is important no matter what type of ministry you are in and no matter whom you are trying to reach.
We just heard back from Taylor Field, a pastor of an inner-city mission in NYC for low income families and the homeless. He let us know that even though they are working with some of the most destitute people, many of the homeless people they work with will often spend their day in the library on-line. A few weeks ago, a homeless man opened his laptop up, as he sat at the table and took part in a meal for the hungry. Taylor let us know that
“the website has been an important way for us to speak to people all over the country, as well as in our neighborhood, to share what God is doing with the new urgent needs of the cities.”
We need to realize that the impact of a professional web presence is crucial for any church who wants to communicate the vision they have as well as reach people who are searching, no matter what walk of life they are in. Continue to pray that Christ will prepare the hearts of those that are searching and that He will provide your ministry with new avenues to share the word of Christ.
