General

While summertime may be a time to sit back and relax for some people, we are getting websites live left and right. We are proud of this month’s “Best of July/August” and what strong sites they are. We had over 70 sites go live in July and the first half of August so it was a tough choice, but here are a few of them.

Up first, in no particular order, Carmel Baptist Church of Matthews, North Carolina.

Carmel Baptist Church has a custom layout and a very nice flash piece in the main area of their home page. This will help engage people and bring attention to key points you are trying to get across with your site. Carmel Baptist’s graphics are a mix of warm colors with nice textures and a little bit of a cutting edge feel. Carmel Baptist is also putting their Flash Photo Gallery to great use. Carmel Baptist is taking advantage of a lot of our tools such as the E-invite, Advanced Forms and more. Carmel Baptist has an amazing site with fabulous content. It looks like they spent a good bit of time working on getting the content on the site and this is what sets their site above the rest.

Next up is Community Christian Fellowship of Lowell, Massachusetts.

Community Christian is using our Samuel Layout. There are several great things about this site. They purchased a flash banner, which gives a bit of subtle movement to the site, but not so much that it is overwhelming. Also, this client has a School Site and Church Site with very similar graphics. The amazing thing about this site is their content. The client created their own sub menus on the top right of each page to help navigation people around the site and this is a great way to use Floating Pages. Floating pages can’t be linked to from your drop downs but can be linked to from your content and are cheaper than regular pages, so it looks like Community Christian has mastered the tricks of the trade. This client is also taking advantage of several of faithHighway’s tools such as Advanced Forms and Sermon Connect. Great job on the content! We could all learn a lesson from Community Christian Fellowship.

Up last is Daybreak Pregnancy Resource Center of Boston, Massachusetts.

Now to answer your first question, yes, we build websites for businesses and organizations as well as churches. Daybreak has some great flash on their home page to help communicate their message and reach to the emotions of its viewers. Daybreak not only has great graphics, but great content as well. Their site is very informative and will be a great tool for them to use for years to come. Notice on the Daybreak Partners page that they are taking advantage of our Password Protected Page- a great tool to keep some things private.

I could go on and on about all the great sites that have gone live in July and in the first half of August, but I won’t here, but if you want to know, feel free to call us, and we can show you some great sites! Remember, to make it into our blog favorites, work hard on your content- as this seems to be the trend. The graphics can be great, but if you don’t say anything on your site and keep it updated, it’s not reaching its potential.

Until next time…
