Best Church Websites for October

General

One of the greatest pleasures of working at faithHighway comes when a website actually goes live for the public to see. Not that I have experienced this myself, but I would imagine having a website go live is a lot like birthing a baby. You may think I am a crazy person for saying this, but stop and think about it for a second. You work for months and months on you church marketing plan,  organizing and building content and church graphics and then finally, one day, it’s done. It’s live, for everyone to see. If you have been through this, you know it brings about a sense of pride and accomplishment and you can hardly wait to see how affective it will be. See, just like birthing a baby.

So, we have some new “babies” to show off from the past month. Just to give you an idea on how hard it is to pick sites for this blog, we have over 70 websites go live a month and I have to narrow it down to three or four. So, here is my attempt to pick my favorite go lives for the month of October:

venue-church

Up first is The Venue Church, a church plant that is starting in Cleveland, Ohio. The thing I really like about this site is the flash work. This is a small site, but the flash work definitely makes the site intriguing and it feels exciting. This site is also easy to navigate and has great content. It’s not too much information but just enough to keep you wanting more. It will be exciting to watch this “baby” and see how it grows and how usable it is for visitors.

viewpoint

Next up is Viewpoint Church, a new ministry in North Naples, Florida. This site is a great use of a Jude theme, but in a very cutting edge way. Viewpoint has a great welcome video right on their home page, which is really a new ‘must-have’ on church websites. It’s a great place to give people some basic “fun stuff” about your church, right on your home page. One of my favorite things about the Viewpoint site is that they are taking advantage of SERMONFLOW one of the new, awesome tools that faithHighway offers. Take a look for yourself in the Media section of their website. It is a great tool for your site! Ask your representative about it today and get it added to your site. Great job Viewpoint! I’m excited to see what kind of relationships this website “births”… okay, too many baby jokes, let’s move on…

newhope

Here comes New Hope Worship Center in Grovetown, Georgia. This site is a custom layout with a lot of custom flash pieces. This site is loaded with information that you can use to find out everything you need to know about New Hope Worship Center and how to get involved. There is a great piece on their Get Connected page that shows you the different steps or “bases” in their Growth Track. Check it out; it’s a really cool idea. There’s no doubt that this site, as well as the others I’ve listed here are going to continue to grow people in Christ, as well as reach the lost.

Great job everyone! It’s been another successful month at faithHighway and I can hardly wait to see what the next month will bring! Till next month…
