Best Practices

craigLast month, I had a great time in San Diego at the National Pastors Conference ! It was so cool to see so many of our clients stop by the digital cafe and say hello and thank us for what we do for them. I saw Andy from Metroplex Chapel (www.metroplexchapel.org), Forrest from River of Life UMC (www.theriveroflifeumc.org), and a few others. What is great is that both Andy and Forrest are pastors I met 6 months to a year ago ( I met Andy last year at NPC !!!) One thing they both reminded me of was that we really are helping them make a connection to their local people !

I had the privilege of moderating a panel of pastors / bloggers / programmers / social media engineers in our digital Cafe. Anne Jackson at www.flowerdust.net, Skye Jethani at www.skyejethani.com , Ben Ghott from www.thecommon.org and Zack Hubert from www.marshillchurch.org. It was a great discussion about technology and the church, and how we can leverage the former for the later. In the next few weeks look here for interviews with the panel. Here is the audio/ video – someone at the conference recorded it on their computer – the video quality is not that good – but the audio is great !

There’s nothing more powerful than meeting those pastors face-to-face and knowing what a difference we’re making for them and for the people they’re reaching out to via our technology and media. What a great experience! It motivates and inspires us to keep doing what we’re doing and to strive to advance and reach out more and more. Thanks for sharing!
