Pastor Ken Bangs of Regions Christian Center in Texarkana, TX
“The calendar has been the most used feature of the website. We post the church activities, special guests, all church socials, summer camps and so on. Our congregation also likes when we post the information from our bulletin inserts online. In fact, they read it so much online that they’ve stopped reading the printed material.”
Pastor Ken shared that having information online is most preferred by the younger generation in his church. This is just another example of how important it will be, as it relates to the future of churches like Regions, to thoughtfully consider how they connect with the rapidly growing online culture.
“Although the website hasn’t changed the way we do church, it’s enhanced it. Most notably by the flow of information, but also by allowing those looking for a church home to see what we believe, how we worship and where our focus is before coming. The result is that most visitors come back and eventually become involved to some degree with the church.”
