Getting more traffic to your church site and building a buzz in the online community can greatly increase your ministry’s reach. Using a tool like ShareThis will make it easy for site visitors to share and connect with content in your site. Here’s a short guide to use ShareThis in your faithHighway website:

1. Go to http://sharethis.com/
2. Since you will be adding it to your site, you are a “Publisher” so you will need to selection this option.
3. Next, choose the type of icon you want to display. This is purely up to preference.
4. You will then need to select your service. For our purpose, you will select the “Any Website” option.
5. Click the “Get ShareThis Code” button to generate your site’s button.  At this point, you will need to enter your personal information to set up an account that they will record your information about what is being shared to track what is the most popular areas in your site.
6. Once you complete the sign up process, you will be given an embed code. The next step will be to login to your faithHighway site and navigate to the page or pages you want to put the ShareThis widget on.
7. Once in the editor on the page you want to upload the button to, click on the source button and scroll to the location of the page you wish to put the button on. We recommend at the bottom of the page. Select edit, then paste.
8. Click the source button again, then save your changes.
