The Intersection: Rev. Lonnie P. Henderson at Agape Christian Fellowship Ministries

1. Can you give me some background about the church and how long have you been there?

Our church is an International non-denominational, loving Christian Church where Jesus is Lord.  As such, we follow the Doctrine of Jesus Christ.  We now have active ministries in the Philippines (12 Pastors and  a Bible School), Ghana (2 Pastors), and India (250 Pastors, a church in a leprous colony, and an orphanage).  Our local church has less than 100 members, but we are still growing because there is much work to be done here in US.  The Lord established our branch of Zion in May 2002 under the stewardship of Rev. Lonnie P. Henderson who is now Bishop over his International charge.  As Christians, we believe in the Trinity of God: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit .

Our vision is to administer and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the Nations and to be a vessel of blessing to Christian indigenous ministries as the Lord provides and directs.  Also our vision includes providing programs to address  diverse needs such as family assistance, care of the aged, youth mentoring, as well as gang and illicit drug prevention as a means to hinder the proliferation of the drug trade and violence in the US.  We believe  such programs assist in homeland security from a natural perspective.  In short, our vision is to bring about spiritual healing and reconciliation to God through Jesus Christ and to deliver all who are oppressed of the devil.

2. How are you using your website to increase member involvement?

We are using our website to increase member involvement by featuring ON DEMAND BIBLE STUDY, using the KJV text.  After studying a module within a topic, we encourage our members and visitors to submit comments regarding what they have received, and if they have questions, they can submit their questions to our email address designated for questions.  Thus, this provides for involvement from our International ministries also.

3. How has the use of technology changed the way you do church?

The use of technology has facilitated our efforts to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to every one that has access to the internet.  It has enabled us to sow a seed with deeper revelation of God’s Word  using scripture to confirm and explain scripture, with universal application.

4. How are you using media to communicate your message?

We communicate our message through the multimedia tools of faithHighway using Audio/video teachings, blogging, and podcasting.

5. How has the use of technology helped your ministry change lives?

The use of technology through faithHighway  provides our ministry a means of teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the Nations over the world wide web to people who desire to know about salvation, and how to endure and overcome life’s trials and tribulations and find true inner peace (without the religiosity, rituals and regiments of imitations), to know their relationship with God through Jesus; the Prince of Peace; our Lord and Redeemer.  Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship with the Almighty God through Jesus.

6. If you were the Chief Technology Czar for churches, what would be your recommendations?

I would recommend that they use all of the multimedia tools available to them through faithHighway.  The tools are “user friendly” with “user friendly” help desk and other “user friendly” help tools.  Further, through faithHighway, we have access to a far greater audience; a world wide audience where we can teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the four corners of the world connected by the world wide web.
