Rick Warren joins twitter

Rick Warren wants you to follow him on Twitter

In a recent email update from Rick Warren, he stated that he has started using Twitter, after being skeptical about it at first. Rather than just sending updates about what he’s “doing,” to his 21,000 plus followers, he uses Twitter as a tool to encourage leaders and pastors who follow him.

In one of his recent tweets, Warren calls out to church planters because he wants to follow them so he can have a direct conversation with them. In other Tweets, he encourages individual pastors with the sermon they are preaching that particular day.

In his update, he said he likes Twitter because it’s more immediate and quicker than sending an email.

One thing I particularly liked that me mentioned in one of the benefits he finds in using Twitter is that Twitter enables him to “weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice,” all over the world. It’s an instant update that allows him to connect with other pastors in an informal way throughout the day.

You can find Rick Warren at : http://twitter.com/rickwarren

Or send him a message @rickwarren

I’m sure he’d be glad to hear from you.

    Pastor Rick,
Nice of you to be one of the main speakers and take the extra time to share the seven points.
Enjoyed how you reviewed each topic so we heard it at least 3 or more times.
We saw the anointing of God on your face.Happy you shared your experiences with us about your group you are in andyour first 2 years of marriage.

I think I heard you speak at Pleasent Valley Church at Niles, Ohio in the late 70's or very early 80's. Len Evans was our pastor and Lou Woods.

    Hey Dave and Susan,

On of our staff writers actually wrote this response to the article. And as much as I would love Rick Warren to be a contributer here on Media Outreach… he is not. But you can go here and give him a tweet http://twitter.com/rickwarren . Thanks for commenting !

Rick Warren wants to be updated and he is also concern of different events that is why there is nothing wrong if he decided to join twitter. This is not a big issue at all.
