Tweet Your Media

Getting more traffic to your church site and building a buzz in the online community can greatly increase your ministry’s reach.  Twitter is the hot, new social app that can help achieve this buzz. And “tweeting” your media is a great way to get your followers connected to your church’s message.  Here’s how:

  1. Once you have a following on Twitter (check out mediaoutreach.com if you would like more advice for building your audience on twitter) login to your Twitter account.
  2. You will also need to go to your church’s website after you have uploaded media you want to tweet.
  3. Navigate to the media item on your site you want people to visit. Copy the URL in the address bar.
  4. Open the window with your Twitter account open. You will now want to post an enticing title for the media item.
  5. This is the most important step. You will need to compress the URL for your media item. You can use a number of services for this. Check out: http://www.tiny.cc/
  6. Once you get your shortened URL, paste it into Twitter and tweet away!

That’s it! You’re media is now in the Twitterverse ready for all the tweeple to watch, listen and retweet! Of course, if you have any questions or run into problems, you can always go to www.faithhighway.com/support and send us a trouble ticket or call 877.703.2484 for technical support!
