If you’re a newbie or somewhat of a newbie to the Twitter epidemic (Twepidemic??), then you’ve probably scratched your head at some of the new vocabulary people are incorporating into their daily lives. It’s interesting to me how quickly a word’s use spreads and becomes the norm. So, if you were like me when you started using Twitter, then you probably need some help on the language spoken by Tweeters. Think of this as a beginning to your “Twictionary.”

- Noun- Someone who uses Twitter for evangelism purposes
Twitterish
- Adjective – used to describe something short enough to be tweeted about
- Noun- Used in reference to the language of Twitter
Twexting
- Verb- Tweeting via a text message
Twitphilia
- Noun- a psychological obsession with twitter had by one who is a compulsive tweeter
Egotwistical
- Adverb- Tending to talk excessively about oneself on Twitter
Twaddle
- Noun -Tweets no one wants to read
Twitterverse
- Noun- Used to define the community of Twitter as a whole
Tweet
- Noun- The 140 character message you send to your followers
- Verb- The acting of sending the 140 character message
Twitpic
- Noun- A website that allows you to post pictures to your Twitter account
Twitterific
- Adjective- Something that would make an excellent post on Twitter
Twead
- Verb- To read a tweet
Tweetup
- Noun- A face-to-face meeting of fellow tweeters
Twitterhea
- Verb- the act of sending too many tweets out
