Church Crunch Link Love

Cue the Happy Birthday song.  ChurchCrunch has had an amazing first year in the blogosphere. Boasting around 15,000 unique visitors a month now, one year of blogging has impacted the Church considerably.  John Saddington, chief editor of ChurchCrunch and Human3rror, empowers leaders with tools and expertise in the areas of technology and ministry.

Covering topics from social media to leadership, ministry to marketing, John often offers his professional resources to media directors and volunteers.  If you help the church with media, marketing or technology in any way, you’ll find this blog extremely beneficial to your efforts.

We got a chance to ask John a few questions, finding out more about this passionate blogger.  Learn more about him here:

1.    Tell us three interesting things about you, that your blog subscribers may not even know.

I love to dance and “was” a break dancer back in the day. Two other interesting facts could be that I’m a twin and that I really like British literature.

2.    When and why did you start blogging?

I started blogging in 2001 because my girlfriend at the time thought I should. Like any good boyfriend, I complied.

3.    What are your favorite three posts?

The reason I love these three is because they represented significant events in the life of this blog!  My 3 favorite posts are:

4.    With a blog that covers the church and technology, what are you most passionate about?

I’m most passionate about “education.” For me, the blog is a perfect educational-platform for many people, and I love teaching others and serving in that way.

5.    What is your biggest pet peeve when visiting a website (or church website)?

If I can’t find how to get there (link to a google map) then I get frustrated!

6.    What do you deem as the most vital part of a church’s website?

Service Time and Location/map!

We’re excited to participate with John and ChurchCrunch at the one year party before Catalyst next Tuesday.  We’d love to run into you guys there. We’ll be buying party attendees the beverage of your choice at the awesome Land of a 1000 Hills coffee shop.

We’re also giving away two IgniteCRM packages valued at $3000 for two lucky attendees.  If you won’t be in the Atlanta area on Tuesday night, you may also stream the event live for a chance to win.  Check out the post about the party here and all the free gifts here.

Thanks John for your service to the body of Christ, with your expertise in the area of church technology!
