I am so glad we are doing this. God has been impressing upon me that I need to be cultivating a heart of gratitude all year round. So, I hope as you think about thankfulness during this season that you will actually form a new habit pattern of giving thanks in all circumstances!
Here are the 10 things I am thankful for today:
1. God: the Father – for loving us so much that He is both merciful and just; the Son – for doing what we cannot by taking onto Himself the wrath we deserve; the Holy Spirit – for teaching, guiding, and comforting us.
2. Justin – My wonderful husband who leads our family with love and humility.
4. God’s Creation – Being out in nature reminds me of God’s creative and even humorous side.
5. Family – All the wonderful people who by blood or marriage are part of my life. I am truly blessed to have so many close to me who love the Lord and love me.
6. Friends – These are the people that God has given me in this season of life. It is an honor to come together to edify, pray for, laugh and cry with one another.
6. Adventures – I love exploring, discovering new things, and having fun along the way!
7. My girls – These are the ladies that God has given me to lead in Bible study, pray for, and mentor.
8. My job – faithHighway gives me the wonderful opportunity to work with people who love the Lord and to help ministries proclaim the good news through various mediums
9. Hobbies – Between fishing, puzzles, knitting, and pilates, God has given me a multitude of enjoyable past times that are fun and relaxing.
10. Chocolate – Okay, I had to say it. I am really glad that there is chocolate.
Now, pull out a sheet of paper, make your own thankfulness list, and give praise to God.
Happy Thanksgiving!
