Leadership Network posted a blog written by Kelly McFadden entitled: “Technology and the Church- an Interview with Bobby Gruenewald”
Some key points from the interview regarding technology and the church:
- People expect feedback when they post something online. The way the church communicates will need to change to adapt to the way people are expecting to engage in communication. No more one-way street communication.
- Scripture is something we should be connected to…period. Having ways to connect with it online is helpful.
- God can use all sources to change someone’s life…whether it be in an online chat room, Facebook message or face-to-face conversation.
- Churches don’t need to do all the same social media stuff everyone else is doing. Test it, and if it works…keep using it…if not, adjust it.
