titleFunctionality“The links were clearly marked and operational.” gradeAplus
titleContent“I liked the animations on the front of the page. The animated slides gave me a quick glimpse into the current events at the church.  I also liked the headers at the top of the page that listed ‘Adults’, ‘Students’, and ‘Kids.’ Had I been interested in this church, I would be eager to access these links depending on my demographic.” gradeAplus
titleGraphics“The visual flavor of the site was colorful. The site was built with a powerful contrast of black backgrounds and white text boxes. Traces of blue were seen in the upper right and left hand corner. I found this site visually appealing and enticing.” gradeAplus

What is your overall first impression of this site?

“I was impressed with the color and animations on the front page. The pastors picture was visible on the front page. Pictures were used in the animation and that kept my attention.”

What would make this site better?

“I believe this site could be better if the information could be streamlined to fit on one page. Hyperlinks and clicks can lead to new pages, yet I found scrolling down while on the same page to be inconvenient.”

Would you visit this church based on the site?

“Definitely.”

faithHighway Tips for improvement…
…from a design expert:

“Overall the look of this site is good. It uses a simple background that supports the content, and key information is where users expect it to be. One thing that would help this site look even more professional is to adhere to a strict set of branding standards. Right now, there are six different fonts on the homepage where only three are necessary.”

…from a programming expert:

“Some of the links on the inside page footers do not open up in a new window.  By clicking on the links you are forced to leave the website. It would be best if those links opened in a new browser window/tab.”

…from a web outreach expert:

“This site is very nice and does most things well. The church could consider scaling down the homepage content a bit so the page isn’t quite so long, but this isn’t a deal breaker for me.”

25 podcasts is probably a few too many on the homepage
