Nothing New Under the Sun

There is nothing new under the sun.

But, there are things we still haven’t discovered.  Even now, we’re discovering new species on the planet. Beautiful, strange new species.  Some look similar to those we are familiar with, others are completely baffling.

See these newly revealed creatures: http://shutr.bz/2t.

As the world turns and we discover new technologies and means to communicate, we have an opportunity.

An opportunity to use these discoveries the same old way…or to determine completely new ways to use completely new tools.

What if…

We could stop using our Facebook and Twitter to build our own fan base and actually think, “How can I start a real conversation with someone I’ve never met and actually communicate with an unbeliever?”

What if….

We could turn our websites into hubs of communication, foregoing the bounds of static templates and expanding into digital portals, instead of trying to make it look like bulletins online?

What if…

We used our iPhones to Skype in pastors from Africa to see how we could serve their city then actually GO, instead of just sending funds and hoping for the best.

What if…

We stopped conforming our culture’s thoughts and trends into our lives and actually became the first movers?  And not just for the sake of saying, “I did it first.”

What if…

We could brainstorm together on some electronic journal on how to use our tools in new, innovative, efficient ways to go beyond the church walls on Sunday with the greatest truth?

Oh wait, we can.  We can do it right here, right now.

Bring on your thoughts! No ideas will be shot down. Let’s group-think, across the globe, on how we can reach the next billion for Christ.
