I’m curious.
What would happen if we let our churches fail a little more?
What would happen if we let go and allowed positions to remain unfilled?
What if there were no greeters to open the front door on Sunday morning?
What if the lights were off and the preschool rooms were vacant when families come to drop off their kiddos?
What if all of the tri-fold bulletins were stacked in a pew unfolded?
What if the stage sat void of musical instruments, mics and a worship team?
Would someone see the need and realize they need to step up?
Or would that someone see the failure and realize they need to find a different church?
What would happen if the church saw just how valued their service is every week? And how different each week would look if a handful of people stepped away for a week.
What would happen if every person in the church realized the role they do (or should) play and took complete ownership?
What if leaders could spend less time recruiting volunteers and more time pouring into the next generation of leaders?
Maybe all it takes is a little failure to gain immeasurable success.
