Last week I wrote about tips for using media during church services. One of the things I mentioned was doing your best when putting song lyrics on a screen. I have seen multiple churches use PowerPoint mainly because it seems to be the logical choice because most churches already use Microsoft office and already have PowerPoint on their machines. PowerPoint has come a long way in its development, but I would submit that PowerPoint is not nearly the best presentation software for churches.
Over the years I have used Media Shout, PowerPoint, and Easy Worship. All of these presentation softwares are adequate for churches. I have many friends who use these softwares and love them. When I switched from PC to Mac, I started using presentation software called Pro Presenter. I quickly fell in love with this software and recognized its power and ease of use. It has a very easy to use user interface so I could quickly put presentations together, but it also was very powerful in the way that it allowed me to seamlessly integrate audio and video into the presentation.
The one drawback for Pro Presenter was it was only compatible with the Mac platform. Not anymore. Pro Presenter recently put out a version of the software for Windows. I have played around with the Windows version and can say that it is almost identical to the Mac platform in the way that it performs. If you want to take your church presentation software to the next level at a very affordable price, look no further than Pro Presenter. You can find out more about Pro Presenter and all of its features at www.renewedvision.com . What presentation software are you using right now and how is it working for you?
